Slice of Life - By David Boyajian

Combining clean, geometric lines with the haphazard action of the knife, “Slice of Life” explores the intersection of man and nature through ideas of vitality, practicality and destruction. Here, “Life” is split into three definite parts, the organic sections of the fruit depicted in pure geometric form. The knife, obviously a man-made item, is more strictly rendered and serves as a symbolic boundary between human beings and the natural world.
