Lucinda Wierenga - Sandy Feet - For many years my specialty was castles and I can include an incredible amount of detail even on a very small scale -- my hand-carved "SanDrops" fit in the palm of your hand. I also create custom centerpieces of sand - a great alternative to ice.  I also have a talent for duplicating logos, names and line drawings in sand. This is a helpful skill for a sand sculptor to have as most sponsors want to see their names prominently displayed somewhere on the sculpture. Over the past year or so I have found myself drifting away from castles into new territory for me - figure and face carving. I do not claim to be the best, but I can compete with the best and not feel embarrassed by the results. Human Touch Sand Sculpture - Sand Sculpture by Larry Nelson - This site has several different presentations on sand sculpture. In the Sculpture Garden you can walk around each sculpture by scrolling to the right; at the end, you can read comments about the sculpture or walk on to the next. The Image Gallery shows other images that accent the environment with the sculpture, and in the Library there are pages that show how I make sculptures, and answer many questions.
