Ann Froman Studios Froman created the first colored Acrylic sculptures, and has gone on to be one of the foremost acrylic artists of our time. Now in the 90's Ann Froman's, "Art of Loving," brings love, lust, pain and power in the form of bronze and acrylic sculptures, drawings and poetic verse. Froman created this collection to help heal the wounds of today’s family life. And to build better family values for our future generations. From the birth of "New Generation," that has captured hearts as the most famous baby at Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas, to being a national fundraiser for the March of Dimes. "New Generation," is described by art critics as the most ingenious acrylic sculpture ever created. Viewers can see the baby in the womb as the loving couples' dreams come to fruition.

Biography-Michael Wilkinson The acrylic sculptures of Michael Wilkinson are a natural outgrowth of the human yearning for beauty as exemplified in the human form. Working both in bronze and in what was until recently considered a limited medium—clear acrylic—Wilkinson is emerging as one of the preeminent sculptors of our time. His work breaks new ground in depicting the course and depth of human desire and feeling.  Rooted deeply in the classical and romantic traditions, Wilkinson's sculpture is at once sensuous and ethereal—depicting reality with dreamlike sensitivity. His vehicle is the human form, transformed through his inspired manipulation of the crystal clear and translucent features of acrylic. Through a complex interweaving and juxtapositioning of negative and positive images, reflections and dimension, he is able to comment forcefully on the broad palette of human experience.

Donjo - Artist Information Donjo internationally renowned artist-sculpture. Born in Chicago in 1949, and raised in Southern California, this remarkable artist, known for his work on endangered species, was introduced to sculpture at the age of eleven and put himself through school by selling his bronze works at weekend art shows. In 1987, he began to focus exclusively on sculpting with a strong emphasis on marine life. In his new line of exquisitely detailed Kalonite Acrylic sculptures, Donjo captures the true essence of the sea. It is easy to understand how this artist’s creations have attracted an international audience by seeing the majestic beauty of the humpback whale or the playfulness of a family of dolphins. However he will not compromise his true objective which is to develop public awareness and to help with the preservation of marine life and other endangered species.

Joseph Alan Hough was born in Southern California in 1965. After completing his schooling, he began working with acrylic in a custom fabrication facility in Santa Monica, CA. This lead the way for Joseph Alan to experiment with different design facets of acrylic sculpture and applications. Soon his original sculptures were selling throughout various galleries in Southern California. Art dealers from the Midwest and Florida areas sought him out and began displaying and selling his sculptures in their galleries. At the various art shows attended by Joseph Alan, his inspiring sculptures always drew a crowd of admirers and collectors. People are always enchanted by the way these sculptures are ever changing in the light and the forms used by Joseph Alan allow their minds to transform these shapes in their minds.

Kenneth Hari - artist, painter, sculpture & creator of fine arts - Crystal Acrylic Sculptures As a painter and printmaker, Kenneth Hari excels. As a sculptor, he is a visionary. His newest project is a series of crystal lucite sculpture editions - a medium he helped to pioneer in the late 1950's, which is quite similar to bronze casting. Hers is a Radiance of luminous compulsion Giving a man the soul of a poet. Fifteen years of enchantment out of twenty-four years of life could not dim the effulgence of still beauty Burning in an immortal candle. One sculpture that certainly stands out is "Beatrice", seen here. Adopted from the legend of the poet Dante's doomed love, it is a delicate yet haunting piece. She stands partially obscured, wrapped in a glassine shroud.

Burt Brent - Contemporary Art Gallery - In this particular sculpture, "Glacial Courtship," Brent took a traditional approach to the subject matter, and directed his creative efforts towards exploration of a new medium. Greatly inspired by the human figurative acrylic sculptures of Michael Wilkinson and Richard MacDonald, Brent searched for the ideal wildlife subjects to exploit this medium. Penguins and glacial structures seemed ideal. The challenge here was to produce a courtship scene in which the inner penguin courts the outer penguin but is baffled when he confronts his own image as it reflects off of the glacial facets. As one walks around this sculpture, the inner reflections and refractions change so that the inner penguin appears to be challenging his own image from various positions while he still peers at his potential mate though the glacier. This produces an eerie effect, likened to a "cast hologram."

Zelda Werner Biographical Info Zelda Wolock Werner has achieved international recognition for her pioneering work in the use of precision laser cutting for large acrylic sculpture. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois with additional study at the Art Institute of Chicago. In Werner's obviously abstract work the material, technology and asthetic concept come together. The artist deals with reflection and transparency, light refracted by edges and curves, visions of multiple images seen through surfaces. A new dimension is added to the sense of sight.  Zelda Wolock Werner Gallery
